Computer Room Contaminants

The most harmful contaminants in a computer room environment are often overlooked, as anything smaller than 10 microns (10
μm) is not normally visible by the naked eye (a strand of human hair is about 100 μm wide). These ultrafine particles can do the most damage as they easily migrate with the computer room’s recirculating air system, through your equipment vents, bypassing filters, and right into your sensitive hardware causing potentially catastrophic damage.

The importance of managing contamination, and air quality levels, in a controlled computer room environment is well recognised. Even purposed designed data centres need continued maintenance.

Maintaining Your Data Centre

The process of Data Centre cleaning, is generally broken down into four (4) rotating services.

Service frequencies may vary greatly depending on room size, type of CRAC unit, individual client requirements, Data Centre policies, and Data Centre traffic.

ISO 14644 Compliant

Clean Com’s Quality Management Systems comply with the standards set by ISO 14644, by removing airborne contaminants to 0.3 microns (0.3 μm). Specialist Nilfisk vacuum cleaners, and HEPA filters, are used in all Clean Com’s above, and below floor computer room cleaning services. The result of using this specialist equipment, is measurably cleaner air quality in your computer room.

Air Scrubber

When contaminant levels are high, Clean Com deploy the use of an Air Scrubber (Dri-Eaz HEPA 500), used to drastically reduce the air particle count in your mission critical environment.

Dri-Eaz HEPA 500 is the first and only air scrubber in the market designed to deliver the highest Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) achieving 99.97% true HEPA efficiency at 840m3 per hour. The results are performance breaking; producing notably cleaner, contaminant free, filtered air.

High-Tech Bucket

Clean Com use WaveBrake® Dual Water Mopping Systems in all established rooms. This revolutionary bucket, inhibits wave formation, and virtually eliminates splashing, safe guarding your computer room, and mission critical equipment. The dual bucket system, separates the dirty water from the clean water, preserving the maximum level of anti-static properties in the cleaning solution, therefore, producing cleaner, safer, and more secure results.
